Grosjean told ‘Kimi faster than you’(0) Romain Grosjean was given a familiar instruction by his team during the recent Bahrain grand prix. The Finnish broadcaster MTV3 reports that the Frenchman was told that his teammate “Kimi (Raikkonen) is faster than you”. “Do not hold him up,” the radio message reportedly ended. In 2010, when team orders were still illegal, Felipe Massa was famously told “Fernando (Alonso) is faster than you” shortly before the Brazilian gave up the lead of the race to Alonso. Ferrari was fined $100,000. Today, team orders are allowed, but Lotus denied it instructed Grosjean to let 2007 world champion Raikkonen pass before the Finn finished second in Bahrain. “We don’t want to play team orders,” Lotus team principal Eric Boullier insisted in Bahrain, “so we let them race normally and what happened, happened.” |

Vettel not in trouble, Marko insistsComments Off Dr Helmut Marko has denied reports Sebastian Vettel was summoned to Red Bull’s headquarters this week to explain his behaviour at the recent Malaysian grand prix. The Narain Karthikeyan-saga aside, reports suggested the German deliberately ignored his bosses’ instruction that he retire his RB8 – ostensibly due to a brake issue – so that he could fit a new gearbox without penalty in China. The reports suggested Vettel had confessed immediately after the race that he heard the instruction but chose to ignore it. “That is all nonsense,” Red Bull’s motor racing consultant Marko told Sport Bild. “Sebastian did nothing – absolutely nothing – that was against our wishes.” Marko said Vettel’s visit to Milton Keynes this week was scheduled long ago, adding that he will be working inside the driver simulator amongst other things. He also hit back at claims the 24-year-old could be penalised by the FIA for breaching the code of conduct when he showed the ‘middle finger’ to Karthikeyan. “The matter was resolved during the meeting with the stewards (in Malaysia). For me, the case is closed.” Speaking to Kolner Express newspaper, however, an FIA spokesman confirmed that the code of conduct forbids superlicense holders from insulting their rivals. But he added: “I imagine the application of this paragraph was considered by the stewards in Malaysia.” And Sebastian Vettel’s spokeswoman said: “We know of no investigation.” |

F1 bosses happy with team order banComments Off Jun.12 (GMM) Leading bosses have rejected David Coulthard’s suggestion that formula one overturn its ban on team orders. In the wake of the Turkish grand prix two weeks ago, it was reported that the controversies may have been triggered by Red Bull and McLaren trying to circumvent the prohibition of race-altering team instructions. In Red Bull’s case, Mark Webber’s engine had been turned down ostensibly to save fuel, amid continuing rumours that the chasing sister car driven by Sebastian Vettel was temporarily running higher revs in the moments before their crash. And teammates Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton set hearts racing on the McLaren pitwall at Istanbul Park when they fought wheel-to-wheel despite being told to slow down and conserve fuel. 13-time GP winner and British commentator Coulthard said it is an “absurd situation whereby teams have to defend the indefensible”. “Do they (team orders) happen in F1? Yes, is the short answer,” the Scot wrote in his latest column for the Telegraph. Coulthard, 39, argues not only that teams can easily steer around the team order ban, but that some sorts of instructions are legitimate. Indeed, team orders were completely legal until 2002, when Ferrari’s Rubens Barrichello was crudely ordered by then Ferrari team boss Jean Todt – who is now president of the governing FIA – to let Michael Schumacher win in Austria. But while their lives may have been easier in Turkey if team orders were permitted, the bosses of Red Bull and McLaren said they would not support a push to overturn the ban. “I think team orders are wrong,” Christian Horner said in Montreal. “You employ professional drivers and we shouldn’t dictate how they drive the car. I think it would be wrong to deny the public from what a grand prix should be about which is man and machine competing with each other,” said the Red Bull team principal. His McLaren counterpart Martin Whitmarsh agrees. “I think we’re happy with the regulations as they are. I don’t mind if other teams want to (use team orders) and that’s up to them, but within our team, we’ve tried to treat all of our drivers with respect,” he said. |

Button changes story over Turkey ‘target lap time’Comments Off
Jun.11 (GMM) Hamilton was unhappy after the Istanbul race because while under instructions to stick to a minimum lap time whilst conserving fuel, the sister McLaren passed him for the lead. Button, 30, clearly stated after the race that while also conserving fuel, his engineers “didn’t put a lap time on it. They just said you have got to save a bit of fuel”. After hearing those comments, Daily Telegraph correspondent Tom Cary wrote: “So is Button telling the truth or is he trying to dig himself out of a conflict with Hamilton by claiming the directions from the team were a bit vague?” In Canada on Thursday, the Briton’s story had changed. “I was told to save fuel and I was given a (target) lap time, and that was 1m31s,” Button told reporters in Montreal. Hamilton had already confirmed after Turkey that his target lap time was 1m31s. Button explained that he only passed Hamilton because the sister MP4-25 recorded a 1m33s “so he was 2 seconds off the lap time we were given”. |

Horner exonerates Webber engineer Ciaron PilbeamComments Off
Jun.9 (GMM) As Red Bull continues to put the pieces of its fractured team back together, boss Christian Horner has moved to exonerate Mark Webber’s race engineer. Initially after the Australian crashed with his teammate Sebastian Vettel while they led in Turkey, Horner and team consultant Helmut Marko pointed the finger not only at Webber but also Ciaron Pilbeam. Race engineer Pilbeam was accused of not passing on information about the charging Vettel to Webber, and conspiracy theorists believe he refused to implement a team order. Moreover, the official video edit of the Istanbul race published by F1′s official website depicts Pilbeam instructing Webber to use his overtake Button to repel Vettel’s attack. And in an interview with the BBC published on Wednesday, Horner denied that he was calling on the pitwall for Webber to “move!” in the moments before the crash. “I don’t think I actually said ‘move’,” said the Briton. “Ciaron Pilbeam has taken a bit of flak recently. He had no instruction to tell mark to move out of the way, that is 100 per cent clear. “There was no conspiracy trying to get one car past the other or getting one to slow down,” added Horner. He also admitted that team figures had been wrong to initially blame Webber for the incident. “In the cold light of day it was a racing accident, nothing more, nothing less. It was wrong to blame either driver,” said Horner. |

Red Bull to have Milton-Keynes crisis meetingComments Off A crisis meeting will be held in the next few days at Red Bull’s Milton Keynes headquarters, in a bid to ease the ill-feeling in the wake of the Sebastian Vettel-Mark Webber shunt. “The goal is to win the world championship with the fastest driver. Above any individual interest must be the general interest, and that is the success of the team,” team advisor Helmut Marko said on Austrian television Sport und Talk aus dem Hangar-7. “The two drivers do not need to go out for dinner with each other, but they must cooperate,” he insisted. Marko maintains that, prior to the contact whilst leading the Turkish grand prix, Webber’s race engineer Ciaron Pilbeam should have passed on the team’s instruction that Vettel was not yet in a fuel-saving mode because he had an extra lap of fuel. “Why (he did not pass on the information) is still not entirely clear,” said Marko. “This engineer simply had a blackout; he did not respond properly.” He insists the turning down of Webber’s engine did not amount to a team order. “The message to Webber should have been ‘You’re too slow. At this rate, Hamilton is going to be straight past you. If Vettel is faster, don’t fight against him, concentrate on Hamilton’. “That is not a team order,” Marko said. (GMM) |

Hamilton unhappy after save fuel ‘instructions’Comments Off Lewis Hamilton on Sunday was visibly not jubilant as he accepted the winner’s trophy for the twelfth time in his career. It emerges that the 2008 was unhappy not with teammate Jenson Button’s feisty racing from behind while the pair were running first and second at Istanbul, but the prior “communication” from the McLaren pitwall. “The communication wasn’t clear for me,” said the Briton, who fought back and re-passed Button after they had been told to save fuel. “When they suggested ‘save this much fuel’ it was not easy unless I went ridiculously slowly. “I tried to reach that target and in doing so Jenson all of a sudden appeared from nowhere.” Button confirmed that his attempt to take the lead from the sister MP4-25 came after he was also asked to save fuel. “After that (incident) it was back to full save mode for me,” said the reigning world champion. The Daily Star newspaper interpreted the save fuel instructions from McLaren as a veiled order for the pair to “Cut it out!” But Hamilton insisted: “We don’t have instructions.” Red Bull team boss Christian Horner saw the behaviour of Hamilton and Button as a lesson to his own drivers. “When drivers are in the same team it is important they give each other a bit more respect and concede if one has got a run on the other,” he said. Hamilton said he had a front-row seat to Sebastian Vettel’s crash with Mark Webber, and sided strongly with those who put the blame at the young German’s door. “He did the exact same thing to me as he did to Mark. It was dangerous. He was so quick, so aggressive as he tried to turn into me, fortunately I had enough space,” said the Briton. (GMM) |

Schu, Brawn, confident Alonso pass was legalComments Off Michael Schumacher and Ross Brawn are confident there will no post-race penalty applied by the stewards in the wake of a controversial last-lap incident. The seven time world champion passed Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso at the last corner of Sunday’s Monaco grand prix, after the safety car that had been deployed for the Jarno Trulli/Karun Chandhok crash pulled into the pits. There is a new rule in 2010 that allows overtaking between the safety car line and the finish line. Where the confusion arises is that if a race finishes under the safety car, there is no overtaking allowed even though the safety car itself pulls into the pits. “We were advised before the end of the race that the safety car was coming in,” Brawn told the BBC. “There was no instruction that the race was going to finish under the safety car.” Schumacher told German television RTL: “We saw the message ‘Track Clear’ officially on screen two. So that means the safety car goes in and the race is back on.” The 41-year-old laughed that it is “interesting” that his former nemesis Damon Hill is the driver-steward this weekend. (GMM) |

Should You Breastfeed Or Formula FeedComments Off Breastfeeding and Formula Today, breastfeeding is being encouraged over baby formula feeding because of the many advantages for both mother and child. For the child, it gets all the nutrients it needs from breast milk, plus the mother’s anti bodies, which will help the child develop resistance to certain viral and bacterial infections. Breastfeeding also helps in developing physical and emotional bond between mother and child, since there is constant physical contact, and the baby feels secure in its mother’s arms. For the mother, breastfeeding is more convenient and is more practical because there is no need for milk bottles, no need to wash and sterilize bottles, and there is no need to get up at the middle of the night to prepare a bottle of milk. Breastfeeding also does not cause too much burping on infants. However, there are times when breastfeeding is no longer possible, for reasons such as the following:- The mother needs to take medication because of an illness or a deficiency in certain nutrients- The mother’s breast does not produce enough milk- The baby is not able to suckle on his mother’s breast because of some birth defect – The mother eats foods that causes an allergic reaction to the baby – The baby is not the biological child of the mother, in cases of adoption- The baby is being solely cared for by his father, or by a guardian- The mother has to go to work on a full time basisOther concerns such as personal or religious beliefs may also hinder a mother to breastfeed. In these cases, baby formula feeding can be a substitute to make sure that the baby still gets the nutrients he needs to maintain a healthy body. There are a lot of choices for formula feeding, and there are special infant formulas that address certain peculiar health concerns such as babies with sensitive digestive systems, where they cannot digest ordinary milk formula. There are also baby formulas that are fortified with certain vitamins and minerals that are helpful in the physical development of the baby. Before proceeding to using baby formula, parents should consult the baby’s pediatrician to make sure that their baby formula feeding is done right. Milk labels already have instructions on how frequent the baby should be fed, and the amount of powdered formula to add to a given amount of water. When changing milk formula brands, this should be done slowly, and it should not be a sudden change, because the baby might not like the taste of the new brand. It is advisable to first adjust the measurement, for example, for the first week, four scoops of formula can be divided into a ratio of three is to one (three scoops old brand and one scoop new brand), and the new brand can be increased until the baby has gotten used to the new brand. Baby formula feeding is not a hindrance to achieving a healthy mother and child bond. When bottle feeding, the baby should still be held in a way that it is still close to the mother’s breasts. Breastmilk may be replaced, but the mother is irreplaceable. |

Website Profit Formula Review – What’s In It For You?Comments Off A new online training course called ‘Website Profit Formula’ is available very soon. The creator of this product is Steve Tenpenny. This guy is not a guru, he’s just an ordinary guy who has found a way to make 6 figures online. This new product is his genuine attempt to teach others to be successful online as well. But, does the product live up to its promise? They are so many money-making courses and scams online. Why do you need this one?I have spent the last few hours reading the training materials and watching the video tutorials inside the Website Profit Formula’s member area. I will let you know what is the course about and how it can benefit you. And I hope you can make an informed decision after reading this review. As mentioned, Website Profit Formula is an online training course. The main reason why it’s online is because Steve (the owner) is updating the content on a regular basis. As new techniques or new ways of earning money online become available, he will add them in the course. This will set it apart from other money-making products. As a member you’ll always receive first hand information! The training materials are currently organized into 6 main sections:1. PLANNING. This is the best place to start. Make sure you download the getting started guide and read it (it’s a PDF file). After you read the guide, get back to the planning section online and read ‘From The Ground Up’ ~ it shows you exactly what you need to do to start your very own website. It doesn’t matter how little experience you have, you need to read it.NOTE: Since Website Profit Formula is an online course, there are many hyperlinks to other topics. Your desktop may get cluttered up with many windows after a while. So, please stay focused and don’t get confused.2. LOOPHOLES. This section has two topics: ‘Instant Page Rank’ and ‘Quick Index Tool’. If you’re new, I suggest you to skip the first one as it’s a bit advanced. Start with the ‘Quick Index Tool’ that shows you how to get your new website indexed within 24 hours. You can come back to ‘Instant Page Rank’ and watch the video after you have gained some experience in building and managing a website.3. PROFIT. This is my favorite section as it shows you many different ways to monetize (earn profit from) your website or blog. I’m not going to elaborate more on this because I have written a detailed review at my blog (you can find the link in my author resource box). Newbies may need to read this section a couple of times.4. TRAFFIC. This is a very important section as traffic is the lifeblood of any website. You will learn how to generate traffic step-by-step. If you’re an experienced online marketers, some of methods taught here are NOT new. If you’re a newbie, take action and use the techniques to promote your site, do not afraid of making mistakes, it’s part of learning.5. LINK BUILDING. Another very important section. If you want your website to land on the top spot of Google’s result page, building links to your site is a must! However, DO NOT abuse the system by building links too quickly and get punished and de-indexed by Google. Just follow the instructions outlined in the course and build links naturally.6. RESOURCES. This is like a reference page where it provides a listing of useful information, webmater tools and other services that can help your site to earn more profit.Additionally, there is a bonus page where you can download some related products for free.Website Profit Formula is not perfect! All in all, Website Profit Formula provides good value for money. But, I have two complaints.First, the content and image of some video tutorials are too small. I have difficulty trying to read the text in the videos. Hope Steve can provide a PDF manual with some screenshots for easy reference. I hate having to go back to the videos and watch them from the beginning again.Another complaint I have is that each section has too many hyperlinks. If you’re not careful, you can easily get confused and lost. There is no work around on this issue as this is a online training course. You just need to be more focused and organized, and close the windows that you no longer need. Conclusion:Website Profit Formula is a well-structured course especially for the newbies. It lays out the right formula for those who have just got started in their online adventure. If you’re new to the Internet Marketing world, perhaps this course is worth considering as it guides you to the correct path from the very beginning. Also, the owner is updating the course on a regular basis so that you can be sure that you’re always on top of things. |
